As it's described ... Glow Fest begins with the sound of drums and powerful rhythms that will draw you to Sunshine Plaza. An electric energy fills the evening air. As the sun goes down, colors burst to life and music starts to play from a brightly-lit stage that seems to glow. Dancers and world music performers create a fun vibe that you will only find at Disney California Adventure park.</p>

The beginning of GlowFest is at 6pm in the Sun Plaza. It seems unlikely that they can pull off a black-light, Day-Glo presentation in the Plaza while the sun is beating down at 6. The fact that they used that visual style to promote the Sun Plaza portion of the event makes me less likely to think that the rest of the evening will actually have a Neon/Day-Glo presence. I think they've just hyper-colored their promotional images.

But this doesn't seem to offer much for people who aren't waiting around for WOC. Apparently all the pier attractions will be closing early to help clear the pier of guests before the big show anyway, which will be long before nightfall. The irony is that after all this investment to beef up the park's attractions roster, DCA may still end up being a "half-day" park because people will start clearing outta there in the afternoon just to avoid the whole WOC impact. West side will essentially be closed, the restaurants will be jammed with people dining on show packages, and HPB and the front plaza will have this weird dance party goin' on, mostly populated by people just waiting around for a late showing of the WOC. Let's just go to disneyland instead.

The shuttering of PP so early boggles my mind. Will Mermaid be closing early for WOC too? Silly doesn't even begin to describe this decision. I suppose that things will improve once Carsland opens since RR will probably be a huge draw.
