Worst of all is the 'just hang on 'til we get past these ho-hum films to the ones you really like' syndrome. I won't enjoy that at all. I was aware of the some of the bad blood (so to speak) but wasn't quite aware of how it all intertwined. Don Hahn gave me a great insight to what lead up to Little Mermaid and the handfull of animated movies that successfully followed. Also, I learned that the Team Disney building at WDS used to have a great big reflections pool in front of it. I never knew that - I've always only known that area to be Legends Court. Little things like that interest me. I recommend this film for any person who is even just the slightest bit interested in the animation department's corporate history and evolution. Two hitchhiking thumbs up!

PatF is a good little film, but nothing like the Ashman/Menken classics from twenty years ago. It also made me sad to realize that Joe Ranft left us way too soon, and his storytelling gifts will continue to be sorely missed, even decades from now. WSB is about the right group of people coming together at the right time to produce the kind of animation they were uniquely qualified to produce. Timing, as they say, is everything. It was definitely their time.
