I'll add others as I think of them. Think peeps think! :)

( I thought this one was weird but liked it)>The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds. Starring Joanne Woodward.

(Weird but I liked it too)>The Mafu Cage. Starring Carol Kane.

( weird but I liked it)>You'l like my Mother. Starring Richard Thomas and Patty Duke.

(One terriffic movie!!)>We're no Angels. Humphrey Bogart, Aldo Ray & Peter Ustinov.

When I was little, early-mid 70's, I used to love a Japanese movie about a little boy that controled a giant robot by talking into his watch. The robot was great, he could shoot rockets from his finger tips and fly.

Turns out it was actually a tv show in Japan and they'd pieced together a movie from episodes for US viewing. Johnny Sokko. Awesome!

I bought a copy from ebay to show to my seven year old step son. He watched for about five minutes and told me it was no good, sigh.

I'm 40 this month so we were watching the same stuff, pre-cable! I think we had something like 7-8 channels.

STIL- My mom was a child actor in the 50's. Maybe you've seen some of the movies she was in?

The Seven Little Foys with Bob Hope
The Big Heat with Glen Ford
    Queen Bee with Joan Crawford
    Anything Goes with Dennis Day
The Creature with the Atom Brain-Pure 50's B movie!

Anything Goes......was that a Cole Porter-type musical? If so, I probably saw it, but not the others. I'll be happy to watch them all to see her.

And, to sort of bond with you two: I like to watch the Mothra movies (LOL!...they are soooo, um....you know) and I couldn't get enough of MST 3k. Hope that counts as getting me a little more hip.... :)

Thanks for the info on your mom. That's so cool.

For you young 40-somethings...have you seen "Red Sky At Morning" or "Summer of '42" (incredible theme song) or "Love Story" or "Bless The Beasts and the Children". Good '70's fare. :)

And who could forget (for plain weird): The Legend of Boggy Creek (it's about Bigfoot)

I used to watch a lot of Sunday afternoon movies when I was little. Sunday favorites include:
    •Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein
•The Long, Long Trailer with Lucy and Desi and
    • It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
    • the Matt Helm movies with Dean Martin (I didn't know any better).

For weirder stuff, I used to watch the late night "World's Worst Film Festival". The one film that sticks out from that show was:

    • J-Men Forever by Firesign Theatre
...which featured a bunch of black and white movie serials (Shazam, Captain America, Commander Cody etc.) spliced together and re-dubbed into a very silly story - it had a bit of an MST3K feel to it.
