Places I can recommend that are relatively inexpensive and safe are the Carousel Inn and Suites, Best Western Park Place Inn (NOT Best Western Anaheim Inn!!), and the Desert Inn and Suites, all right across the street from Disneyland. I like HoJo's a lot, and if you can get the Entertainment Passbook rate there, that's quite reasonable, but of course it's a longer walk.

A bit more detail, Little Boy Blue is located on Katella Avenue as part of the area that is known as the "Katella Cast Member Parking Lot", and is an old two story Motel than hasn't been upgraded in decades... For lack of a better term, a place you would expect Drug Deals to be made.... NOT good for kids, or most adults.
