I have to think of myself as a non-smoker instead of a quitting smoker. I know its all symatics but it works for me and hopefully others. Anyways, well its been 2 months now, I have put on some weight from not smoking, so now its time to take the next step. I think that going to the gym might be took big of a step so I am making a baby step. So now its time to be a walker. So starting tomorrow (keeping to the schedule is important too) I am a daily evening walker. Anyways, you have all been supportive and helpful and as a reward for all your encouregement (and putting up for my bad attitude sometimes) you get to know what is going on. I know its not much, but its a step and when I think its time Ill take the next one (whatever that may be). Thanks for the continued support!

My goal is 10,000 steps a day. I've been working at it but, like you, this has to be a lifestyle change for me. Having you guys to be accountable to would help me so much. I bought an Omron pedometer online and have been using it this week. I'm at 2791 steps right now (lots of desk work this morning) but I'll post my steps each night before I go to bed. Go get'em 'nuut. And thanks for encouraging me with your sticktuitiveness.

Congrats *nut* on the progress, you're doing really well, and if walking works for you, then it's a great way to exercise! My diet and exercise program continues apace. I've not had my weigh in this week (on my bathroom scales lol) but to date I have lost 43lb and over 10% of my body fat. I am feeling so much healthier it's unbelievable, I can run up stairs and everything! I find swimming is the exercise for me, and it's getting a little chilly here to be walking on an evening lol!

Me and Roofus (aka Rusty Roo Monster dogger boy) occasionally do evening walks, but we really should do it every night. I know he would enjoy it, and I know I need it! My pedometer is from WalMart. Gotta go dig it out. Santa brought it last Chrimbo and I think he paid about 10-12 bucks for it.
