I can't imagine an old movie prop being in any condition to sit outside in the weather if that's the case, or even if it was a prop built specifically for the store interior years ago, for that matter. Perhaps it will turn up in the store once more.

It would be a nice touch, don't know if it's pracical or if it will happen though.

Since it was designed for indoor use, I would be surprised if it would be moved outdoors, even in southern California's mild climate. A much more likely option would be to move it into the overflow queue room, which I know they're planning on using for several months. Paris has an X-Wing set up out front of their Star Tours, and it looks good, but it's in its own area, with plenty of space around it to let it make some sense. Especially with the new DVC UFO that they just built, I would be really surprised to see them add another visual element to the TL promenade. In semi-related news, I was in line for Space Mountain late Friday night (got in line just before midnight), and it looked like they were using the upper floor of the Starcade for some sort of filming dressing area. They had makeup mirrors set up, and an area curtained off for dressing. After a while, there was a whole crew of people (including a couple kids) that came out to get to the exit, all wearing street clothes and carrying suitcases and/or garment bags. What really surprised us was that nobody seemed to be the movie 'type'. They all just looked like average folks. Everybody in the queue was trying to figure out what was going on, but as far as I could tell, nobody knew. We assumed that it might be for filming a new Star Tours pre-show video, but the hours did seem strage for that, since they weren't using any guest spaces so it could have been done in the middle of the day. Needless to say, we were a little distracted, so I didn't notice if the X-Wing was there or not.

Of course, they once claimed that the Haunted Mansion hearse had carried Brigham Young and that turned out not to be the case!

But, I'm not getting my hopes up. Too much of the Park is under refurbishment or construction unless they reuse older footage of those areas.

I just happen to be aware of him after spending the last 12 years on Disney websites, and he just happened to be the CM staffing the Tiki Room that day. I didn't let on that I knew who he was, and he was actually a perfect gentleman and very polite and calm. A total 180 from some of his other antics that have made him famous (infamous?).
