I've heard mixed reviews from you all about the Riverside seating, but my son has yet to see Fantasmic and I haven't seen it in years and years, so I figured it was worth a try.

Do you all have any tips for making the best of Riverside PS seating?

When I made the reservations they said to get there 1 hour ahead to check in. Then I guess we can go on a ride or something and come back before the show. Does that sound correct? Will we get good seats that way? Should we try to check in earlier than 1 hour before, or will noone be there?

Has anyone done Riverside lately? Any ideas what we can expect? Thanks a lot for your help!

My son loved it...anyway...to answer your question...we did the early show too and showed up about 45 minutes early to check in". Once you do that, then they tell you to come back, say 15 minutes before the show starts and it will be at that time you will be seated. Now we were the 7th person to "check in" so that meant 6 people, plus how many ever were in there group got seated before us. So my advice to you is to go a little earlier and just see if the cast members have it set up. If they do...ask if you can check in then. In this case, the early bird catches the worm. Once you've checked in, you can take off but I wouldn't go far. Once they start seating, they will call your name in the order you checked in...if your not there, they might go to the next person or even cancel you all together for standby's. Hope that helps you! Oh...afterwards you can sit right in your seats and enjoy the fireworks. You'll have a great view! Enjoy! ºoº

I enjoyed the riverside seating. The desserts are much more low key than balcony. I had fun...

The CM I reserved through said we should pick up our tickets at "Guest Services". Anyone know where this is? Do we need to pick up our tickets the day of the show or can we pick them up a day or two ahead?

I know I should have asked the CM these things, but I just didn't think of all my questions in time. Thanks again for your help!

I am not sure if it completely stops, but during off-season it only runs weekends.

We went over to ask about it when we saw that they were staring to set up aprox. 2 hours before the show and the lady in charge said come back 1 hour prior to the show and they will mark your tickets with numbers on who came first. We got there 1 1/2 hours prior and we were # 2 so I sugguest to go early and she had made a mistake and gave 2 people # 1 so we ended up being # 3 but it was still ok. We sat in the front row and right in the middle. It was a great show and we got to stay there for the fire works and still eat our deserts. I was expecting more out of the deserts also but they were good. They were cookies of all different sorts and very yummy but no cakes. We had a really good time and would do it again but would really like to do the balcony. We were told by another couple that was in line with us that if your whole group is not there and ready that they will pass you and you go to the bottom of the list but I am not sure if that is true or not beause we are always everywhere to early. I hope you have a great time. Enjoy :)
