    Got it? LOL

    Friday, November 18:
Was actually the start of our trip. Sia and Angela had to work full days, so Angela drove to my house and we both met up with Sia on HWY 5 in Westley. We were on the road from there at around 8:30pm, pulled into the Best Western Park Place Inn at 12:20am. We did very well, zero traffic.

I had forgotten that I reserved a King bed room as it was only to be my godson and me. Thank goodness it was a mini suite as we had a sofa bed. This was my first time on the ground floor here. I won’t do that again. Too much foot traffic in the early mornings and late evenings.

It was hard to get to sleep after arriving so it was around 2am before I know I started to zzzzz.

    Saturday, November 19th:
We were up at 7am and out the door and into the parks at 9am. Everyone was excited to see all the 50th celebration touches. From Mickey standing amongst the flowers at the entrance to the Happiest Homecoming murals to the lantern lights with Tinker Bell on top. They loved it. We strolled down Main Street taking it all in. It was kind of hard to have the holiday feeling when it was already blazing for a November day. We sent JoJo and Jerome to get us Space Mountain FP’s. It’s my mom’s favorite ride and no one but me has ridden it since it’s reopening. From there we went to Pirates all ten of us. Jacob was acting scared but as soon as we got down the two drops he was fine. He sat close to me and his eyes were big as quarters but he became more comfortable as we floated along. Too many scary movies I'm afraid has him leary of any place dark. We hit Haunted Mansion, my mom took Jacob on Winnie the Pooh, they attempted Splash Mountain but to crowded so they got FP’s and we moved on.

We split up here. My mom, Jacob and I went on Buzz LightYear (the first of many times <sigh>)while the rest of the group went on Indy. Jacob was funny showing my mom all the ins and outs of Astro Blasters. He was so excited. My mom was cracking up. We all met up to ride Space Mountain. My mom loved the new additions. We got the very front. We basically took a whole train. Woohoo!! Angela took Jacob on Autopia.

We split up again. My mom, Jacob and I headed to DCA. We went and saw Turtle Talk with Crush, then headed to Flix’s Fair. Jacob LOVES this area. We all did all four rides. PapaHead started getting cranky at Turtle Talk so we called it an afternoon and went back for a time out. Wendebird called me, we decided to meet up for the Fireworks.

We rested for about two hours. My family decided to meet back up for Block Party Bash in DCA. My mom, Jacob and I found Angela in front of the C of alifornia. We waited for Sia and the girls, but they were taking a bit longer, so my mom, Jacob and I headed in to try and save a spot. The Block Party Bash has already started so we headed for the Golden Dreams area to watch it. They found us in time. Sia got us adults a coffee and I bought the girls and Jacob those light up necklaces. I knew the minute I seen this parade on May 5th that my family would love it. Anything with music and dancing would be loved by us. I was right, they LOVED it. We had a great time. The girls jumped right in and danced with the CM’s performing. We sang, clapped and danced. Just a fun high energy good time.

We did another round of Flik’s Fair and then headed for Disneyland. My mom, Jacob and I were to watch the Christmas parade, everyone else were going to hit some big rides before settling in for fireworks. We got about fifteen minutes into our wait for the Christmas parade and Jacob was out. My mom and I had no where to go as Main Street was packed, so we just stayed and watch the parade. In my opinion, this parade is getting a bit long in the tooth but it’s still festive, colorful and fun. Once the fireworks were over we headed for Coke Corner to meet up with everyone. Wendebird and her oldest daughter met us. We decided to get our places in the street. Soon the rest of my family was there. It was then that the announcements began about the “possibility†of fireworks being cancelled. Sure enough high winds caused the fireworks to be called off. We all went our separate ways. Wendebird, her daughter, my mom, Jacob and I went for a late dinner at the French Market. Afterwards, Wendebird and her daughter went to Haunted Mansion. We headed for the train. I had promised Jacob we’d buy some Buzz LightYear figurines before the night was over. So we purchased them, stopped in at the Blue Ribbon Bakery for some dessert and headed to our room.

We were back in the room around 11:30pm. We had our dessert, talked a bit and were in bed around 12:45am.

A pretty full first day. It was good to be back in Disneyland with my godson and family. There’s nothing quite like being there with a child.

Jacob is on his way to being a future LP'er. The kid has an amazing memory. He also takes in everything he hears so he informed my mom (who's only been to DL more times than she can remember) about things like that the Monorail only goes one way and makes stops at the hotel and Tomorrowland. Thank you very much Jacob.

    LOL!

They're rated "PG" and "PG-13" for a reason, aren't they?
