Back in the day, shows could close after one night, (although that would probably never happen now with advance sales and all).

For example, the infamous musical version of Stephen King's "Carrie" closed after 3 performances in 1988.

Yep, "It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Superman!" I heard a little bit of the music a few years ago on the old DirecTV Broadway music channel. Cheese is a good word for it, lol.

    "It's a simple little gig.
You help me kill a pig."

(Note: actual lyrics from that show).

A friend of mine saw a preview of Carrie. The glee in which he described the show to me is impossible to convey over message boards. I remember him saying that (at the start of the show) the theater was completely dark, and suddenly you heard a girl's voice shout, "I'm bleeding." He said the audience erupted in laughter. I would love to have seen it.

Here's the official website. Better grab a look before it's taken down:

At least they didn't try to adapt "The Witching Hour" as a musical.

Kinda funny because when I first started looking at that site, I was like "they're trying to make another Phantom of the Opera" - sure enough, the guy who plays Lestat has played BOTH the Phantom and Raul!! LOL!!
