I have been to both parks and I have too say (Although maybe I am biased!) that Disneyland is much much better the WDW Magic Kingdom. The intimacy, nostalgia, and magical atmosphere @ Disneyland really can't be beat. Enjoy your trip!!! I'm sure you will!!!

Bengal BBQ...It is right across from Indiana...delicious skewers! Royal Street Veranda in NOS has really good clam chowder! Blue Ribbon Bakery has good coffee, cookies, etc. Downtown Disney has some good restaurants, which also are slightly cheaper then inside DL or DCA. I like ESPN Zone (especially if you are a sports fan) and Rainforest Cafe...

You'll love the Blue Bayou - it's so much fun. Have a BLAST !!

And if DL starts getting too crowded you can head over to DCA to look around. Grizzly Rapids is fun if you want to get wet on a hot day. Definately just go early in the morning on your first day so you can "feel" Main Street as you walk under the bridge and soak up the music and sights! I've been to DL tons of times and I'm still always in awe of Main Street.

It's got a fine below decks exhibit that a lot of people don't know about and/or skip, but it's the perfect thing to do while you're waiting for the ship to sail. It's got recreations of the captain's quarters, crew quarters, galley, etc. and in the days of ticket books, was actually a separate B ticket just to see. It's kind of a "hidden gem." Check it out! Most of the not-in-WDW things have been mentioned, but the submarines will also be open by the time you're there, and of course, they're not in WDW. But you'll probably have to be there right at rope drop one morning if you want to ride without a huge wait. The Monsters ride in DCA is another thing you can't find in WDW, along with the Sun Wheel (kind of a love-it-or-hate-it thing, it seems) and unlike some of the other Pier rides which aren't at WDW but have close analogs at other parks, the Sun Wheel is one of only two of its type. Try the swinging cars - I think they're a blast as long as you don't have a problem with heights. And definitely see the Aladdin musical and check out the animation building - it's better than MGM's.
