Just about my only issue when pregnant was sciatica (a burning pain in my leg when I stood for too long) and so I would take the time that hubby was riding the "E tickets" to just sit and people watch. It worked out really well, gave me the extra breaks I needed and hubby could ride the exciting stuff. Hubby was also happy to use my "extra" fastpasses, either to get two rides in a row to or to hold fast passes for double the exciting rides.

I don't know when you're planning to go, but I know that most pregnant women are more sensative to heat, especially in the 3rd trimester. I personally had no problems being 6 months pregnant in DL in August, but 7 months pregnant in WDW in September was *misrable*. (Yea for air conditioning and the fan spray bottle!) If you are already sensitive to heat you may want to take that into consideration in your trip planning. Also know that any Disney counter that has ice will give you a cup of ice for free. Usually it's a small cup, but you can go back as often as you need, and sometimes if you ask nicely they'll give you a big cup of ice. :)

Last thing, we're local, so more often than not we pack snacks, meals, ect., and generally save on food. However, on what we knew would be our last trip pre-baby we made a big point of going to DL w/NOTHING! We knew that it would never be like this again. From now on we would be hauling in baby stuff and everything else. So, we made it a special trip and ate all our meals in the park. This may or may not work for you, but we had fun.

    Enjoy!

However, my sister and my sister-in-law got the okay to ride anything they wanted until they had a signifigant bump. Then, he said their center of balance would be off, and the ride wouldn't be safe, but until then, go ahead. I know that at least one mom on this boad (DVC's wife?) rode mission space orange, Disney's craziest ride (at WDW of course), pregnant, with no ill effects. So, consult your doctor and you may not have to change any of your plans.

There were a few rides that we did that were awful, even though they seem like they would be tame. Autopia and Roger Rabbit were much rougher than we had remembered, not any fun!

Have a wonderful trip, it's a great opportunity to slow down and really enjoy the park. Oh, and the best part is the FOOD! I was just getting over my morning (all day) sickness at that point and it was wonderful getting to eat and eat and eat...

    Puuuuulease!!!!!!!!

I am not the person to ask BUT I will weigh in.

First allow me to express my sincere gratitude to my wife for being so far to the right of the bell curve (take that however you want, but it's not meant to be a good thing) that she brings us such joy and blessings.

    She is also......quite insane.

5 of my 6 kids have visited Walt Disney World on an extended vacation while in the womb.

I'll skip all the "my wife rode this, my wife rode that, my wife is nuts..." and cut right to the chase.

My wife rode Mission Space the very first year it was open, while pregnant. There was no "less intense line" at that time. I think she was pfffft, maybe 12 weeks or so at the time?

I will admit, I was worried that the baby would have been centrifuged or effected somehow, but he is a very bright little boy nowadays. There seems to be no long term negative impact thus far. For some weird reason he loves speed. He likes to go fast, and get flipped up in the air by me, and anything that is thrilling. I am quite sure that has nothing to do with having ridden Mission Space as a fetus.

She didn't ride Tower of Terror, becuase I absolutely refused and physically restrained her from getting in the line.

She didn't ride Rockin Rollercoaster, and she didn't ride Dinosaur.

But she did ride everything else including Space Mountain, the Safari, and Splash Mountain.

Here is my advice to you.... I encourage you to STAY OFF OF THESE RIDES while pregnant. Don't sue me later. I'll say it again, do NOT ride any rides at any theme park while pregnant.

My wife is too mean to have any problems from these rides no matter the circumstances. Remember, she is insane.

Literally, all 7 pregnancies she has gone on long vacations to WDW at some point. Even the baby that is due any day now, she went last November, however she did stay off of some of the rides she rode with baby #5. Baby #5 was the one that she went all out on. Thank God he isn't, uh, affected.

Thank God Expedition Everest wasn't around for #5 ! If it's new, she's going on, no matter what.

I welcome your rebuttles and insults. They have no effect and they would do no good even if I printed them out and handed them to her.

yeah think about this for a moment.

    YOU:
"Hey doc, can I ride stuff at Disney while pregnant?"

    DOCTOR:
"Sure go ahead, don't think twice! Everything will be fine, and your baby won't be affected in any way."

    YOU:
"Hey doc, I rode Rockin Roller Coaster and that night I miscarried, and now I'm going to sue you for a million bucks."

No doctor is going to green light you for this. No sane one anyway.

There were some aspects of that trip that weren't very fun for her, but over all we hada good time. (We found out she was pregnant the day we got home from DL.)

The second trip, when she was 4 months pregnant, was probably one of the best DL trips of my life. We probably rode 10-15 rides in 3 days at the park, but that didn't matter. We had so much fun doing attractions that we normally don't do, like Tiki Room, Pooh, and IASW. It was a very calm and relaxing trip and made me appreciate DL on a whole new level.

Some of the things to note about the trips. On the first trip, when she was about 4 weeks along, she was very sensitive to smells and starting to get nauseous quite a bit. We rode every ride at the parks, but the only one that made her queasy was Soarin'. The biggest problem was the smells of all the ODV carts. The smell of churros actually made her sick, so we had to avoid those (which is not easy).

Anyway, depending on which stage of your pregnancy you are at DL, your experience will be different. Like everyone else says, check with your doctor about it before you go. Ours said to stay away from anything with a restraint that might put pressure on the belly.

The most important thing is to just have fun while you're there. It is a unique experience to be in the parks when pregnant, so make the most out of it.

I got the superwoman boost in my second trimester, the horrible morning sickness had subsided from the first trimester and I wasn't very big yet. Now like DVC's wife I have been informed by several people (none professional though =P) that I am insane, but I rode everything out there. I rode ToT even though I had to do it while dragging my husband behind me who really didn't want me to ride it. He was afraid that our son would be plastered to the top of the uterous and they wouldn't be able to get him down. ;) The biggest problem I had was standing for long periods of time made me dizzy and I had to make sure I drank lots of water.

Now I did get to ok from my OB/GYN to ride everything before I left and this was before they opened Rockin'.

Talk to your doctor. Do what feels comfortable. If you don't feel comfortable, don't do it. This is not the time for a commando Disney trip, but a nice, take in the atmosphere trip.

I really didn’t get sick until a few weeks later so I enjoyed all the food and the Christmas decorations, it was great. My husband and I did take it slower than we usually do but we had a really good time. Every pregnancy and every OBGYN is different so just make sure you and your doctor feel comfortable and then I think it will be ok. If you don’t feel like you should do something then don’t.

Our son-to-be also rode several other rides that day, with no ill effects. He is now 7 years old, and we have a lot of fun pointing to "his first Disney picture"!
