There's been more than one occasion where I've stayed somewhere else simply because the only available rooms at the MiraCosta were smoking ones. Hopefully, with the hotel closed 45 days, they've had a chance to thoroughly deep clean the formerly smoking rooms. I've stayed in a converted hotel before, at least a year after conversion, and the former smoking floors still reeked. The Ambassador appears to still have a mix of smoking and non-smoking rooms.
