Because the ride is just an off the shelf ride and isn't very good to begin with....

    That would totally suck.

It's one of the best attractions in the park (opinions about old vs. new versions notwithstanding), not to mention one of the few that is great for the whole family. I would have serious doubts that an Aladdin ride (there are already TWO anyway) would be as cool and still totally family friendly (DisneySea does NOT need another ride with a restrictive height requirement!).

Definitely a family favorite, and Little X adores it!

(doesn't hurt that it's a walk-on...so I appreciate your point as far as that aspect but WE like it lol)

I'll grant you that, and raise you an "it's the worst ride".

    No thanks!

The early concept for Disney Sea is that each attraction would be unique and only designed for DisneySea. The Magic Carpets doesn't fit the bill here, although I am sure OLC were given the option of having the attraction. Two of the Magic Carpets rides were built, and from what I know the original intention was not for it to go in the Studios, so one park gave up on having this attraction, probarely realising it wasn't needed.

I disagree you need to have at least one dark ride at the park that doesn't require young Guest needing to be at a certain height to enjoy. Sinbad fits into this category.

Besides I thought Ariels cavern is filled with kids rides.

I can't remember if there is.

The lack of a height requirement doesn't help bring the crowds to Sinbad anyways. lol.

Kindly note I did not say "kids rides", I said "rides the whole family can enjoy".

And I won't even go there with the "Ariels cavern" thing, since I know you're just trying to be cute. :p

Yeah, yeah. Sindbad isn't popular. Har har.

Disney won't be able to use this technology as it has been copyrighted by universal studios.

I wouldn't worry too much about seamem getting lost in Ariel's cavern since they seem to innately know where to go and what to do once inside irrepective of the perils that will ultimately take all but one of their lives.

In fact I am pretty sure it is manufactured by a company completely separate from Universal.

    Indeed.

Maybe the OP has never been to the TDR. Usually when the OLC installs a new attraction, it is not just an off the shelf spinner, but rather a brand new E or D ticket.

The only reason the MK has the Aladdin spinner is because the WDC is too cheap to build the Aladdin magic carpet dark ride that EVERYBODY assumed was going to be built after they saw the film in 1994.

    No,

I'd say that Tokyo's IJ differs from Anaheim's as much as Anaheim's Pirates differs from Tokyos's.......in other words 'carbon copy' really is the wrong description for IJ; their facades and queues are completely different and the rides themselves have(as you mentioned) a few dissimilarities.

It's unfortunate that Disney Sea isn't totally immune to the clone virus and I feel it's defenses are weakening as I write as proven by the the park contracting Turtle Talk, one of the most dreaded attraction diseases out there- almost as deadly as Stich.
