We like going on the weekend-- it hasn't been very crowded and the traffic from Disneyland is pretty light going down to Carlsbad. The only negative that I can think of though is the ride back home -- we have always hit fairly bad traffic. I don't know if it's normal or if it's because it's Saturday night.
