And it's because of the current location we discovered this year's Christmas Tree for the Magic Kingdom--as of 11/5/05. When my sisters and I swooped down into the Magic Kingdom and saw that the Christmas tree was located the the left of the open lawns that lead to Tomorrowland...well...we had to scratch out heads in wonder. ORWEN: According to one cast member we talked to, the tree was put there because of the current refurbishment being done to the Train Station in Town Square. He said they were behind schedule with the Train Station's refurbishment. He also said that--maybe--the Christmas tree will eventually be put BACK into Town Square--if the necessary repairs to the Train Station are finished soon enough. ORDDU: In the meantime, it's rather jarring to have Tomorrowland as a backdrop for a Christmas Tree that is normally found in Town Square. ORGOCH: Just thought ya's might wanna' know what was goin' on--befer ya went an' had yerselves a heart attack--like ol' Orwen almost had when she seen what she seen!

It just gives a very bad first impression unlike the way it was cared for and landscaped for decades.

For obvious reasons, they wanted to include the tree in many of the filmed shots, but did not want a half-scaffolded Train station in the background. Thus, the tree was temporarily placed in the rose garden for the filming. An added advantage is that shots can now be filmed with Regis and Kelly with both the tree and the still relatively newly decorated castle for the HCOE in a single shot. Once the filming is over, the tree is expected to be taken down and moved down Main Street to its proper location in the Town square over two separate nights.
