I was told pretty much the "whole" month was available at this time for AP rates.

I booked a Saturday night at DLH for $109.00 and $89.00 a night for Sun-Wed.

If you want to stay at the Grand, I believe it was $199 for FRI/SAT night and $179 for Sun & weekdays.

Didn't really feel like coughing up the "extra" cash when I can get a rate like $89 a night.

Or better yet, whether there are any days in january to avoid due to big conventions?

LOL...you scared me! I went running for my reservation book!! Our vacation is for January 21st - 25th.

I picked this weekend because I wanted to avoid the 3-day holiday the week before.

I think of all the holiday weekends, MLK is the best crowd wise. I have a conference that weekend this year so we will go at the end of January - 27th - 29th.

Two weeks from today I will be checking into the GCH. I have only stayed there once before - in May 2001. I am so excited to again!! This is my very favorite time of year at DL! I sure am hoping for good weather.
