If that's so, can anyone tell me what days the early admission can be used at Disneyland? What time does the park open on early days? I have read in guide books that Disneyland sometimes opens earlier than its posted times on busy days. (We'll be there during Spring Break.) Can anyone tell me if that still happens? If so, what are the details generally? Are there any parts of the park that open late? When we went quite some time ago, Toon Town and the Hollywood Pictures Backlot both opened late. Did I read somewhere that Mickey takes up residence at his house late in the morning? Is it true that certain lines to get into Disneyland move faster than others? Or is that another Disneyland urban legend?

Not sure about Hollywood back lot, we've never bothered to be at DCA at opening. We always end up going there late morning or mid day.

Yes, some of the entrance lines move faster than others, though you are talking about saving 1 minute or so when the lines are really long. If you want to go this route, look for the lines that split after they pass the monorail supports (I want to say gate 21 or 26 for some reason). On days when DL opens later than 8 am, the front gates are opened either 60 or 30 minutes early. I no longer set an alarm at DL, so I forget which one it is. The shops on Main Street are open and there is a rope across Main Street at Coke Corner, so that's as far as you can enter the park. Yes, Mickey arrives at his house in the late morning. ToonTown opens later than the rest of DL, but I think the Backlot opens at the regular DCA opening time now that Tower is there.
