Since we have a diabetic child who is on insulin, we are restricted with his meals and what time he eats. The park opens at 8:00 in the morning and Jacob eats at 7:30, so we do our best and get downstairs to eat at the famous, but somewhat well-guarded secret, Whitewater Snacks. I have the french toast sticks and the kids have cereal. Mark tried the breakfast burrito. We all enjoyed our meals, except Mark picked out the potatoes. Got to the park a little after 8:00. My plan was to go get Space Mountain Fast Passes, so that's what we did. The return time was short, and so we tried to stay around there. Rode Buzz Lightyear for the first time. Didn't do too well, as I had a baby on my lap. Mark got some huge score and puffed out his chest about how well he did. Ally did o.k., and Jacob did pretty good. He is our game expert! We all loved the ride! We rode Space Mountain and used 3 fast passes and then asked for a rider switch pass. Mark went with the kids first and then I went again with Ally. Jacob decided to sit out the 2nd time. Usually we would use 3 FP, and then use the rider switch and 1 more fast pass for the next adult, which worked good. The only thing is, if the cast member does not see the adult, they questioned me every time asking for the rider switch. Sometimes they would not even give it to me, but only to Mark. We wandered over to Fantasyland and ended up getting our picture taken in front of the castle by the photo people. It turned out well. Ally wanted to ride Mr. Toad, so we did. Then we went over and got FP for Splash. While we waited rode Haunted Mansion. Can't remember for sure, but around now I think we decided to eat. We ate at Pizza Port and Mark and I split a Chicken Fuselli (sp?) and the kids had pizza (Ally didn't eat much,...again more clues). Rode Splash Mountain and then took a break to go swimming in the pool. Had ice cream first at Whitewater. The pool was too cold for me, but I got in up to my waist and dipped Brandt a few times. Then sat out and dried off. I let Mark watch the kids and I went up to the room for a nap for Brandt. We got back to the park and went right in to Carnation Cafe. Had a short wait. Ally and I looked for a sweatshirt at some of the stores, while the boys waited in line. Had a good dinner. I love sitting on main street with all the hustle and bustle watching the people. After dinner we got FP for Indiana Jones, and we did the rider switch again. I went first. I talked with a nice lady with a 11-month old from San Diego. Went over and rode Big Thunder and then took an ice cream break. Had to have a frozen banana (me) and Mickey Premium ice cream (Mark and Jacob), and Ally had a sandwich (which she barely ate). We decided that this would be a good day to see the fireworks since it was not a weekend. We stake our spot, just to the right of the castle. A little south of the Tommorowland exit. Mark and I joke the whole time about the cast member with the light stick and how cool he probably thought it was to get that job. So much power! Ha ha. No seriously, it's a big job to keep everyone where they need to be. It's very orchestrated. Brandt was asleep by now and slept through the entire fireworks. We LOVED them. I was so impressed! I am so glad we got to see them. Loved the part where they do the "tour" around the park. Enjoyable to see Tinkerbell too! All in all, it was a good day. Ally seemed fine and the parks seemed tolerable with the Fast Passes. I just hoped that she'd be fine the rest of the trip!
