I have never actually been to the Fire House in all the times I have been to DL, in probably 27 times since 1992.

Hope that helps. I hope someone pops in with info on the Fire House.

The fire house is simply a replica of an actual turn-of-the-century (c.1900) fire house. There are two horse stalls. (Quick! Name the horses!), a fir wagon, some equipment, and a fireman's pole leading up to a closed hatch to the second floor.

What is on the second floor is of greatest interest to Disney fans. That was where Walt Disney maintained his private apartment while Disneyland was being built. He also entertained guests up there until he died in 1966. He had planned a bigger apartment above New Orleans Square, but died before it was finished.
