And is there a cool parade that is part of it .... or is that in the main disneyland park. Any information to make this a Fall Fun Trip would be great. Thanks

In DCA the Bugs life land turns into Candy Corn Acres, the Haunted Mansion is turned into the Night Before Christmas, and also Woody's Halloween Round-up. There are of course decorations everywhere so you know that it is Halloween time and there is also special treat's like cookies and such as well as Mickey ears that are decorated for Halloween. Plus you have the giant Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern in Disneyland Town Square. Some Disney Characters where Halloween costumes.

The dates for the trick or treat party are 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 and 31. So the only weekend date is of course Halloween the rest are Wed, Thurs, Fri the last two weeks.

I don't remember there being a parade that is special except for the Christmas season, but I am sure someone will let me know if I am wrong, Sorry I'm a little foggy from the Cold Med I am taking.

This is what it says it includes:
Amazing attractions to get you spinning, looping and free-falling!
Lively music to boogie your bones!
Special treat stations where you can scare up some goodies!
Creepy crafts and activities for some frightful fun!
    A nightly Character cavalcade.
Plus, lots more spook-tacular entertainment for little boys and ghouls!
Complimentary parking for one vehicle at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure — larger vehicles may require an additional fee.

Space is limited and tickets are available while supplies last.
    Time: Wednesday and Thursday: 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Halloween Night: 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Tickets for AP'ers go on sale on May 15th I think it may be a week or two after that, that they go on sale to the general public.

Your son can wear a costume or not but I'd suggest he wear something like a hat or a sports team shirt or such to keep in the spirit with everyone else. You can trick or treat or not but it's an easy thing to get LOTS of good candy :) Every 10 year old is there with their parent or adult. He won't feel uncool :)

We are in our 50's and have taken our 20something and our 30something kids as well as our 4 year old grandson. Everyone loved it and can't wait to go back.

All event attendees — including adults — may dress in their favorite Halloween costume and must follow these and other guidelines as determined solely by Disney:
Costumes should be child-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive or violent.
Guests may wear masks. However, masks must not obstuct vision and eyes must be visible at all times.
Guests that dress like Disney Characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
Costumes should not drag on the ground.
Costumes should not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
Costumes should not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
Guests of all ages may only wear costumes to the Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party to which they have valid tickets. During normal Park operating hours, costumes are only permitted for Guests ages 9 and younger

Also, how fast do they sell out?
