He said "Yes it is, just follow me." So we casually followed him and ended up in the front of the line (he never said you have to get in line...it was more like a moving group of people). Anyways, we were in the front, on the edge of the water. The view was WONDERFUL! The whole time I watched the show, I thought to myself how much my mom would love this. So for Christmas I'm surprising her with a dinner package at Wine County. I really want to try to have the same spot for the show, and I know it may be difficult to pull that off again. My question is, how early do you think we should get there to be the first in line? LOL. I want her to be in the front where I was. The view is stunning.

I would make sure your dining reservation is at least three hours before the show. I am not sure what time you would need to line up to be first though, I just know when to line up to be last, lol. I look forward to finding out more about this!

People must be afraid of getting wet, or the CMs aren't telling enough people that the option is available, but no matter what area you're suppose to be in (I wasn't even doing preferred dining, I just had a regular fastpass for the yellow section) you have the option of going to the wetzone!

The best part about this was that a 'shorter' member of our party was able to be positioned at the top of a short set of stairs on the wooden decking, and it permitted her a view of the entire show. We've made a mental note to try for that spot every time - not only were we well centered and in front, but we were elevated over the people directly in front of us by perching at the top of this set of steps.

The lower levels tend to fill up earlier, but the spots further back are also very good. From back there you pick up on very different things than in the front (I don't think either one is better than the other, but they are very different), so that may be something to consider for future visits as well.
