    The first six books in the series, ranged from great to really good. But then something happened in book seven, the series started become downright unreadable. Nothing ever happened in the subsequent novels. I stopped reading. He still had two more books left. But I do feel bad for his fans that wanted to see a conclusion to the story.

    Regardless of book 12 being complete, I think it's sad he has died. He has left behind some some good books, even if their epic nature has lost some momentum on the path to completion.

    58 seems a bit young (and rather wrong) to die and I'm sure he'll be missed.
