I was just checking out the new Window Live Local BETA and I can't believe the detail in their "birds eye view" photos. MUCH better than anything I've seen on Google.

    I placed a pin in the Plaza here: <a href="http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.33.809072_-117.918954_Disneyland" target="_blank">http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=
    aN.33.809072_-117.918954_Disneyland%20Resort%20Plaza_</a>

Be sure to use the panel on the left, click on the building icons to zoom out a little bit, then use your mouse on the map... click and HOLD to drag the map around. If you don't see anything, give the map a moment to load. Also, be sure to click 'birds eye' view.

They haven't mapped Epcot as well, but it still looks great here: <a href="http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.28.375327_-81.549523_Spaceship%20Earth_" target="_blank">http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=
    aN.28.375327_-81.549523_Spaceship%20Earth_</a>
You'll want to back off one click (the minus sign on top left) then use your mouse to drag the map and follow the monorail tracks. :)

Oh, you can close most the windows on that page... like the notepad. If you want a "pin" on the map, right click. From there you can e-mail and bookmark as well.

I hear it doesn't work well with Firefox or IE on a MAC, sorry (it is a MS product). Give it a try anyway.

    ENJOY!

Try this one for Disneyland: <a href="http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.33.809072_-117.918954_Disneyland_0Resort_0Plaza" target="_blank">http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=
    aN.33.809072_-117.918954_Disneyland_0Resort_0Plaza</a>_

NOTE: in birds eye view, you have to click on the sections in the box in the top left of your screen to view other areas. You'll get the hang of it ;)

and this one for Epcot: <a href="http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.28.375327_-81.549523_Spaceship_0Earth" target="_blank">http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=
    aN.28.375327_-81.549523_Spaceship_0Earth</a>_

NOTE: for the Epcot one, click on "aerial view" on the left top box, otherwise, you won't see anything but raw map.

    Hope these work for everyone!

Ok, I'm done. No... it's for real this time. Truly. Done. Wait!... oh, never mind.. false alarm, I'm really done. ;)

So... in yo' FACE sukka! ;)

BTW, Laura and I had fun with OUAC's Xmas party. We didn't participate in the exchange, but it totally cracked us up. It takes a damn long time, but it was totally fun. Thanks for your help with that! You rock!... "most" the time ;)

BTW, check out Bill Gates' house. I believe you can search Bellview WA and he'll be in a list there. :)

When you get there, thank him for making a cool mapping program.. oh, and tell him Dan sent ya. ;)

The East/West images were taken two years later. Flik's and Playhouse Disney are open, but Tower is still under contstruction (without its dome).

These images are terrific-- albeit dated and hard to navigate...
