Michael Eisner, chairman and chief executive of the Walt Disney Co., who came to the park and spoke to reporters. Mr. Eisner disclosed instead of shutting down the BTMR ride to retrofit it for safety they will keep it in operation. They will simply rename it Big Thunder Out of Control Terror Train. All passengers will simply be asked to wear teflon safety suits making them accident protected. In fact Disney is thinking of expanding a new area around the life defying attraction, calling it Extreme Dangerland. Plans include installing the Sky Ride where riders have to jump off to trambolines to "terminate" their ride. In addition, there will be a new Columbia Dearth Ship where passenger will have to dodge lines, weights, and anchors swinging down without warning. Then there is the adult themed attraction Hunting for Bambi where passengers will play the role of the cute deer that ran for its life in the Classic Disney film. Finally, a new Hill House from Hades will be built. Its cute warning will be "we have 999 murdeous ghouls but there is always room for a couple thousand more." Riders who expire from horrific fright will actually be incorporated into the ride.
Furthermore, the Matterhorn will be changed to a treacherous climbing adventure. Those who reach the summit are allowed to
repel down without ropes. Mr. Eisner defended the whole project by pointing out that the theme park is losing too many guests to high risk outdoor activities. Eisner added if "they are going to take ill advised risks we might as well be the ones to have their money."

And I don't see what it has to do with the Tokyo Disneyland attraction re-opening either.

It's a pretty offensive post, actually.
