Since I could never stand to watch said cartoon and was too disinterested to check out the earlier movies, I went in and enjoyed this movie on its own merits. It is VERY well written, decently animated, beautifully paced, and just a bang-up good time at the movies. It's CONSIDERABLY better than Meet The Robinsons. A caveat: Those who can't handle complex storylines (IE: more than two sides to a conflict) won't care much for TMNT. You have to actually pay attention to it.
