Where is Little Saigon?

    When we come to CA we usually visit my SIL and her family in BEAUTIFUL Santa Barbara. This year, she wants to meet us in Anaheim and go see "Little Saigon". I was hoping to map something out before I leave and was wondering if any locals could help me out! Thanks!!!

    I grew up in Garden Grove but left just about the time the Vietnamese population started really thriving there.

    Maybe someone better acquainted with the area these days can tell you about the touristy side of it...

    I live about 15 miles north of the place. Unless one is Vietnamese, I really don't know why it would be considered a destination for out of towners. The wikipedia entry contains a small blurb about gangs and crime. I don't think that can be over-emphasized.

    It bears very little resemblence to a big city "chinatown". Except to buy specialty items, I am not sure why one would go there.
