There were lots of conflicting rumors about what Rock It Mountain was going to be, but now that Disney changed the name, many other things could be different.

I understand that they can't exactly have Marilyn Manson playing but I have a feeling that the "rock" they'll have playing in there will be a real midwest mulletfest.

And that's probably as it should be, I just approach any sort of "rock" thing at a family park with a little bit of irony in mind.

As much as I love Space Mountain, we all know thrill wise, it's tame in comparison to non disney coasters- it's biggest thrills come from the darkness and not being able to anticipate the turns and drops. This is all different with the new lighting. Suddenly you see every turn as you approach it because they've got it outlined in colored lights. It was very very bad. And they still didn't have those darn asteroids lit up. They were only barely more visible during Rockit Mountain than before and probably only because I was looking for them.

The Loading area looks the same, accept the big Plasma Screen has messages on it like: "Congradulations Galatic grads of 2006, you are all shining Stars!" and stuff like that.

The first lift hill has Blueish-Violet lighting instead of red lighting.

The Tunnel transition to the second lift hill looks the same accept you hear people cheering and a DJ saying "Congradutaions class of 2006, Are you ready to graduate to the next level? Lets see what's going on on the space stage!".

The Second lift hill utilizes MTV style graphics on the video screens which represent sound waves from guitar riffs and bass beats. The end on the tunnel uses somekind of nebula gas cloud type of perjection instead of a super Nova.

When you reach "SPACE" it looks the same for the most part, but when you look down, it looks like you are at a giant rock concert at night! The asteroid is not lit, but there are giant perjections of dancers on the ceiling.

Then the DJ Announces, "Get ready to rock in 5,4,3,2,1...Let's Rock & Roll!" and Hoobastacks "Let it Out" Blasts on the speakers, and you are off on a rock N Roll Adventure!

The Ride is mainly not more then a bunch of flashing red and blue lights.

The end tunnel and exit is the same, but you you climb the steps to leave, you hear more rock music.

I think the ride is fun, but I don't think it sould be on every night. I think it would be better suited as an annual Overlay, like for New Years.

Although People talk a lot of trash about the ride, I don't see how the highly acclaimed Rock N Rollercoaster in Florida is any better than Rock it Mountain. I think whizing through a pretty light show is more exciting than flying past a bunch of black light lit cardboard cutouts!

I think it would be neat to see different things on the video screens around the second lift hill, since apparently they can be changed easily. Also, I would stick with the blue lights on the first lift, because the current configuration makes me feel like I'm inside a toaster.

But, this version was also thrown together at the last minutes for Gradnights, and the new version will probably be more like the one in testing. And it def won't have all the grad stuff or Hoobastank. They just need to increase the budget.
