Will we find it less crowded and more enjoyable the last week of June? Or will there not be much of a difference between the two weeks? It is usually crowded on the 4th but the days before and after are usually no more crowded than any other summer day. Actually the 5th, in the morning, is usually fairly empty. We love that time of year at DLR and have plans to be the the 3rd through the 17th this year. I'd check the operating hours prior to July 1st, for if I recall correctly, the end of June, in years gone by, hasn't had the extended hours that July has, but I could be wrong. dsny1mom

June 23 is the first day for the longer hours. Then in July they switch to 8am to 11pm during the week. Hope this helps.

I don't think we even went on ay rides that day because it was so packed, but my family is laidback. We are happy to just walk around the park, listen to the music, and enjoy our family time. So, in answer to your question -- 4th of July would NOT be my first choice because of crowds.
