I kind of agree. The shows have been lacking in recent years at DL. It still surprises me at how fun and involved the Hunchback show was and how it was better than the film itself. I missed seeing that go.

What were some of the other good shows? Animazement. It's too bad Snow White disappointed - it wasn't bad but, with Prince Valium center stage and the Clogging section, ugh...

Oh, sorry - got off track. Pocahontas was a nice show. Maybe they have something new coming down the track more in line with Discovery Channel shows and personalities - they do own the station.

I found my mistake. I believed someone when they told me Disney owned TLC. Shortly after, I was in Century City mall at the Discovery Store and saw all the stations linked under one brand.

I assumed Disney owned the whole empire.

Turns out, Disney owns a half stake in the cheesy but won't die Lifetime Channel where every third show has a scorned woman fighting back against male oppression.

At least it is nice to know that something of such quality and quantity (The Discovery Channel group of offerings) is an entity in itself - at least for now.

Thank you tonyanton. I don't mind being corrected, it helps me know what I absorb around me is true.

I find Lifetime very cheesy, but it has one redeeming factor - the Golden Girls!
