I'm currently pretty active on those three sites. I see I'm not the only one who has those feelings MissC. Since the Beaumandy banning/unbanning in World Events, I've cut back my time here quite a bit. My advice, find sites where you have an interest. I know you're a Scooby-Doo fan, perhaps there are communities in that realm you would find enjoyable.

I used to go to the community boards there a lot, but very rarely do now. They have a counseling board, too. Enjoy!

Here the Admin stays pretty much behind the scenes and does not get personally involved in threads or debates. At disboards (at least when I was there 3-4 years ago) the moderators were some of the most active posters. They tend to become "opinion leaders", and woe is you if you post something that runs counter to their opinion.

There is a thread there where these really, really nice ladies design t-shirt iron-ons for free for anyone who asks. With there being so many members, it does take a while, but it's FREE and they are very talented and ever so helpful. The downside is that there are over 70,000 people and I found it hard to make friends that were in the same places I would post.

This is the most family friendly place I know. I think we take for granted that the admins volunteer their time to LP. It's not a paid gig and it's certainly difficult to be all over the boards at any given time. I like that they stay behind the scenes for the most part. If I'm waiting for a response from them I expect it could take a little while. I don't always like it but I'm certainly understanding.
