What do you think it will be like?

Sim-rides will have replaced most of the AA based rides. The Sim-ride will be AI driven simulations of reality that communicate with each other via MyMagic++ and will present age-appropriate tales related to the theme of the ride. An example of this is Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. You will see, sense and be completely involved in everything Lincoln. You will be Lincoln in your mind. POTC will be upgraded. If the ride breaks down, the pirates jump onto the boats and start eating the guests.

Imagine fully mobile ghost pirates popping out of the water in the POTC lagoon scene or the Auctioneer walking around and talking. How about having the Hitchhiking Ghosts literally sitting next to you in your Doom Buggy? You'll be calling up your virtual Tour Guide (still wearing plaid, of course) and having her projection stand in front of you as you enter Town Square, asking you to verify your My Magic Plus and dining reservations. On July 17th, a hologram of Walt will appear in Town Square to read the dedication speech. About the only thing I could imagine not being there would be the Monorail - why would anyone ride that when they could take a high-speed maglev monorail to Anaheim? Autopia will probably still be there, but like their real world counterparts the cars drive themselves, with no visible track. I'm sure our grandchildren will still be debating DisneyUniversalFox's latest moves on whatever has replaced the Internet by then, while we wait for the latest up-to-the nanosecond updates from Doug Marsh III at Disneyland and Gideon "Doobie Deux" Moseley Jr. from the Disney-Marvel-Star Wars Resort Complex in Florida. "Can you believe that they just raised ticket prices to 4,500 credits for a one-day, one-park virtual ticket? Once the price hits 5,000 credits, people will finally stop going - you'll see!"

I recall reading an online novel along those lines.

And considering how much fatter we've gotten as a population and how we're likely to become more so unless somebody finally invents a weight loss pill, that's a scary thought!

Oh, to be 40 years older....
