(Of course Disney having such a special place in all of our hearts, we're bound to share some likes! lol.) Anyway, we've all talked about movies that make us cry, movies we've walked out on and stuff like that I have really enjoyed those topics and I am adding some to my queue from there and I would love to hear more recommendations from you all. I know none of you will believe this but I literally went for years without seeing any movies at all (or watching tv for that matter, lol) so don't worry about recommending something I've already seen. Chances are I haven't. So, wha'd'ya say? What should I see? <-- crosses fingers and hopes for some recs!

I wonder what other LPers have queued up recently?

I made the mistake of suggesting we see recently, at a time that my wife wanted to see primarily happy/funny/adventure stuff (as she was facing surgery). "It's a cartoon, and it's from Gibli. Of course it's a magical adventure." When it was done, all I could say was "And on that happy note, we will now lighten the mood by watching 'Romeo and Juliet'."

I would recommend watching: Lost Grey's Anatomy Felicity (guilty pleasure) Dawson's Creek (another guilty pleasure) Gilmore Girls Sex and the City 4400 Sopranos It all depends on what type of program you prefer. That is the nice part of Netflix..you can try a series out without having to invest in buying a whole set only to find out you didn't like it.

I made sure to double-check that before I made the suggestion. FYI, I agree with CrouchingTigger on all points made. Great flick, but also very heavy stuff. It'll spoil your whole weekend. And in case you didn't know, Grave and Totoro were originally released in Japan as a double feature! Theaters quickly figured out the wisdom of running Totoro first.

It's one of my most favorite movies ever. If you're into TV shows, get the Charmed series on DVD - I think they're up to season 4 now (I can't remember off the top of my head). The seasons with Shannon Doherty aren't as good as the one's with Rose McGowen, but I'd still recommend starting at the beginning so you know how it all started!

I didn't know this, but it makes sence to me. We have both movies and will always watch them as a set. Grave of the Fireflys first, then Totoro to put us back in a happy state of mind.
