We grabbed Soarin’ FP’s and bought some breakfast at the Bakery. We walked over to the Animation building and caught the Turtle Talk show so Lula could see it. Jacob was in a much better mood this morning and really enjoyed the show. After visiting with Crush, we had 20 minutes to burn waiting to go into the Animation drawing room. Lula took pictures with the Ugly Duckling and Chicken Little. We watch the big screens. Jacob danced with Baloo to Bare Necessities. We went into the Studio, got our drawing pads and learned how to draw Donald Duck. We had a fantastic time doing this. Both Lula and Jacob did a great job with their Donald’s. We saved them. I’m going to scan and put all four on one sheet and frame them as a keepsake for each of my godkids. We went and rode Soarin’. Jacob thought he was really going on a plane. He loves this ride. The kids called out each place that popped up on the screen. Cheering for Yosemite, Monterey, San Francisco and Disneyland. We went over to Disneyland. The kids wanted to ride the Omni bus again down Main Street. My mom took the stroller and walked. Lula asked the driver if they could sit up front, he said yes so the kids rode up front with him. Waving to the crowd and giggling. Afterwards they took their picture with him. They thought they were hot stuff. We hit the Jungle Cruise, Tarzan Tree house and Pirates. Jacob was over his fear of the Pirates dips. He held his hands up and actually looked as we went down the second one. Big step for him. LOL! We shopped down Main Street. Kids got a couple things for themselves. Jacob got his mom and brother something. He wanted a sword so I got it for him. He was thrilled. We went back to our room around 4:30pm. The kids laid down and were out. We woke them around 7pm, we got ready to head over to DL to hopefully see the fireworks. We walked back around 8:15pm. Got into the park and WOW it was jammed packed. The crowds were increasing by the hour. We found our spot close to the rope on Main Street but my mom and Lula went looking for a clearer spot. She called me on my cell and said come to the Hub. Jacob and I headed over and my mom had landed a bench right smack in the middle. We couldn’t believe it. Heaven! Now if the fireworks would just go off tonight. They did! We got to see them. Jacob was over the moon seeing Tinker Bell. Lula had tears in her eyes watching. My mom just kept saying “wow.†It was wonderful. We watched the snow then headed over to the Plaza Inn for a late dinner. The kids were wide awake and being silly. We had a fun dinner laughing and joking around. After dinner we did, you guessed it BUZZ, then the Astro Orbiter Rockets. That was our last ride of the trip. We slowly walked down Main Street. Said our goodbyes to the tree and headed back to the room. We were in bed around 12:30am. I’ll have pictures up later this weekend. Overall, we had a great trip. I love taking my godkids. I love that my godson sees the details and little things that make Disneyland so special. He totally gets it. Wednesday morning we got up, packed and were on the road by 10am. It was 8 long hours of bumper to bumper crazy drivers before we got home. I was wiped out from the stress of driving in that. Here’s Jacob and my exchange on Tuesday night after watching the fireworks: He was sitting on the bed with his sword saying "Argh Argh" and singing "Yo Ho Yo Ho, a Pirates Life for me." My mom is lying on the bed next to him. He says "Nina?, Nina?" I said "what Papa?" He says "when we come back can I get a Pirate hat so I can wear it and say Argh Argh?" I misunderstanding him say "Papa tonight is our last night, we go home tomorrow." He says "no, not tonight, I want my hat when we come back." I said "when?" He says "Friday!" I said "Papa we can't come back that soon." He says "But I still got lots of clean clothes." My mom says "It's not about the clothes, it's about how much it costs." He replies "If I give you my $4.32 Nina, can we stay?" I said "no, Thursday is Thanksgiving and we all need to go home to go to school and work." Jacob says "Nina, I get to sad when I have to leave, I want to cry." I said "I know Papa, so do I sometimes." <sigh> The end.
