I will be going to the DLR soon for a much needed short break. I recently had surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon and as such will spend most of the trip in a wheelchair. I want to check out WOC and was wondering is there a special section for those of us in wheelchairs, and if so, how do I get a fastpass for that?

Now that I think about it, I don't even know where/how to get the disability pass thing (sorry I can't remember the official name) for the separate queues. I have my doctors note, what should I do next?

    Thanks all!

City Hall/Guest Services can help you in regard to a disability pass, but, if you'll be in the chair most of the time, it's probably superfluous. I've traveled with people who use scooters and usually we just follow signage or get assistance from CMs to figure out how to navigate lines.

I would call Disneyland prior to your visit to find out if you still need a fastpass to get into the viewing area (I think you do). As long as you have a wheelchair you wouldn't need to get a disability pass, those are for guests who use do not have obvious disabilities (cane, crutches, blindness etc.) Your wheelchair counts as your pass. Get your chair as soon as possible though, on busy days the resort usually rents out all their chairs by 11 AM (with an unfortunately large number of people who rent them just to get to the front of the line)

Make sure that you let the Cast Member know that you will need to be in the Wheelchair viewing area and they will direct you to the correct staging area for your color group. When we got to the viewing area, there were only 10 people TOTAL in the whole area, and they had 4 benches for the rest of us to sit in - so it was TERRIFIC! We did get a Disability Pass (you get those at City Hall at Disneyland or at the Main Information Booth at DCA). You can bring a Dr's note, but due to privacy laws, they are not allowed to read the information. They will issue you a Disability pass for your entire party for the length of your stay - this will also help you get into a lot of the attractions via a wheelchair accessible entrance (most attractions in DCA were built with wheelchair access in mind; most attractions in Disneyland were not - and you will have to enter via an alternate entrance (usually the exit). If you have any questions while you are down there -just be sure to ask any cast member. They are really friendly, and more than willing to assist you to ensure that you have the best experience possible.
