It is not like the typical restaurant for a birthday meaning that they do not all come out and sing happy birthday. The cast member will wish you a happy birthday and in my case I also got a free Chocolate mousse dessert which I still remember it was so good. I love this restaurant and this would be my choose for a birthday meal. My dad though loves Steakhouse 55 because it is a meat eaters paradise, but I've never done it for a birthday, more because I love being able to eat inside Disneyland and as after my birthday we were able to go and get seats for Fantasmic without having to go far. Blue Bayou is My choose !!

If in doubt, flip a coin.

If the person has floated by on Pirates before, they pretty much know what to expect, even though it's different when you actually eat there. If they haven't seen it before... it's a real knock-your-socks off experience. Does it have to be those two, though? Because I would choose Napa Rose over the other two generally for a special occasion; tremendous food (and not just for steak-lovers), PLUS a very Disney atmosphere with Grizzly Peak right behind you all lit up.

Be wearing a button (if it's a Birthday - they give a free Chocolate Mousse Dessert) 2. Ask for a table by the water (of course - EVERYONE asks for this) - just get there a little early for your reservation and make this request - tell that that you will wait for the first available waterside table. Well worth the wait.

OR do we want to stay in the park, have a fun meal and walk outside to be ready for fireworks/Fantasmic/fastpass rides. For me personally it's about location and how tired I might be at that time
