Four of us got to the park good and early Saturday morning. We were minus Aimee as she had to work that morning and would meet us later that afternoon. We headed for Space Mountain. We were waiting in line, when they announced that the ride had stopped and that it would be 20 minutes to get it going. We decided to just hang out and 20 minutes later we were riding. Then over to the Matterhorn, and then to my Aunt’s favorite, Alice in Wonderland. By the time we got off of Alice in Wonderland, we noticed that the Matterhorn was no longer running.

I was going crazy because I couldn’t talk about the attic changes till everyone else had ridden it, but we decided not to ride it until Aimee got there (ditto with Monsters, which I still hadn’t ridden yet). So we decided to play, how many fastpasses can we collect in one day. This was a challenge because we also had to beg the fastpass attendant for one additional fastpass for Aimee who wasn’t there yet. The guy at the Space Mountain fastpass was super nice and wonderful. The guy we ran into later at the Indiana Jones fastpass was a grumpasaurous.

We went on Splash Mountain, and Brendan and I got the wettest that we have ever gotten on this ride. Poor Brendan was absolutely soaked and was forced to do the soggy pants walk throughout the park. It was still early in the morning and pretty cool out. I offered to buy him a sweatshirt, but he said no, he was fine.

So we’re making our way around the park and decide to head to Indiana Jones. We got there and it was not working. They said to come back later. We walked out onto Mainstreet to look at the wait time sign (by then, the lines were still pretty short for a Saturday), and it said that, Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain and Roger Rabbit’s were not running. We took this as a sign to head over to DCA and get some lunch. Our latest favorite for lunch is Wine Country Tratoria. The service isn’t the best, but heck, we’re relaxing and not in a hurry anyway. We grabbed fastpasses for Soarin on the way to lunch and got a call from Aimee that she was in the parking garage and heading on over. She made it for lunch and I had my favorite, the pizzetta salad. Yummy. My Aunt was eating her salad when she noticed some mold on her tomato. She called the waiter over to let him know, and he ran from the table. We figured we had scared him away, but he came back a little later and apologized and said that the salad would be free.

Finally we headed over to ride Monsters, Inc. We loved it. My Aunt was so happy when we got to the bathroom and Boo was singing her potty song. Rozz picked me out at the end and said she liked my hair.

We headed over to Tower of Terror. Brendan still refuses to ride, so we did the swap. I know that this version is less then the Orlando version, but I still LOVE it.

We decided to head over to California Screamin. We were walking over when we noticed that none of the cars were running. We got a little closer and saw that they were evacuating people off of the ride. OK, that ride was out. I was a little sad because Brendan refuses to ride this too, so that would have been my only chance to ride this trip, since it was the only day we were there with other people to do a swap with. Oh well.

We rode Soarin and got row Number 1 (yeah!). We then decided to head over to Disneyland and ride the Haunted Mansion and use the fastpasses we had. By the time we returned, everything was up and running again. Ran around and used up our fastpasses and then rode the Haunted Mansion and everyone agreed that the attic was a huge improvement and that the bride is super creepy. Got some popcorn and fritters and decided to call it a day as it was pushing 7pm and we were exhausted from being there since opening that morning.

Left the park a little sad as tomorrow would be our last day.
