We had a cracked tile that turns out to be a leaking shower (for probably years n years) so we now have a rotted out subfloor in front of the shower, tub and toilet. FUN! grumble grumble Anyway, it's accompanied by a lovely sort of moldy, wet, dank, rotted wood, yucky smell that I can't seem to even mask very well. I was in Target looking at the bazillions of sprays and candles and things...does anyone have a favorite that really works to get rid of smell? I don't really care what it smells like but I have at least a week of "huge hole in the floor" status til this gets fixed and ugh it's stinky!

Only 19 more days til I can experience it myself...they better have this darn floor fixed by then!

I've Febreezed all our bedding and anything fabric in the bedroom where the bathroom is..... So far it's a little better...now I just have cut tile dust everywhere...lol I can't win!! I'm going to try and find some Oust and Febreeze air freshener...and I'll look for the Citrus Magic, it doesn't seem too familiar so I'm not sure if we have it here or not. Thanks again for the suggestions all!

Re the air spray, I vote Oust #1, Febreeze #2. Another tip is baking soda or vinegar. My mom cleaned rentals for a while and mildew was a problem now and again. She would shake baking soda over carpets, rub it in, let it set a while (preferably overnight) and then vacuum it up. If it was just a general smell and not in any fabric, she would put out some bowls of white distilled vinegar and it would be gross at first but then it would soak up the mildew smell. Go figure. lol. Hope your place comes out smelling like a rose real soon.

If you know of anyone that sells Gold Canyon Candles (if not, email me and I can get you in touch with someone that does) anyway, their fresh orange juice candle smells just like the oranges in Soarin. I burn them all day, every day in my house and they also have an air freshner spray and a car freshner that smells just the same. It is my FAVORITE!!!!!
