But I'm thinking it must be pretty pedestrian as I'm 43 and I'm listening to a group of aging rockers.

They were on the 'Today' show singing 'Wanted: Dead or Alive' and then 'Have a Nice Day.' Jon has an excellent voice, even in this live venue -- they sound good.

The fans standing in the audience just kill me! Most of them mouthing the words to the song as Jon is singing them.

The kicker was one of the hand-made signs that one person had. It read, and I kid you not:

    BON JOVI FAN
    NOT JUST A TITLE
    BUT A LIFESTYLE

    Sorry, that just slays me....

Okay, I'll cop to liking Bon Jovi when I was in the 10th grade.

I had never heard about him ordering the drummer Tico Torres to get lipo.(Yeah, I remember their names, so? ;-) )

Did anyone happen to catch Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at a Bon Jovi concert? HILARIOUS

I've flicked a lighter many times to that song. Because Jon's seen a million faces and he's rocked them all. He's a cowboy. On a steel horse he rides. And he's wanted....wanted dead or alive.

Their acoustical set of Wanted, Dead or Alive is what made me take a listen. Before that I was like bleck another video band.

    -------

This was kinda how he got his original recording contract, The were some changes offered up by the record co. that if he made them they would be signed, so they made them.

Back in the hair band days quiet a few of the bands that made it droped members casue the labels said to, they didnt have the look they felt would sell records.
Many times the record co would say here is this guy put in him in and the deal is yours.

I could never hold up that sign about it being a lifestyle.....how embarrassing. How old was the person holding the sign Jim???

I have bought their new CD a couple of days ago and it is currently in my car. When my 11 year old son is in the car I am not allowed to play Bon Jovi as he thinks they are old and stink, so you might be right Jim.

I have to confess to still having a greatest hits CD of theirs that I play in my car at full ball occasionly.

I will have to check out the new CD!

I must say, Ritchie Sambora is, well . . .yeah.

I liked some of Chicago's early stuff but was never a big enough fan to buy any of their cd's or see them in concert. ELO is a pretty good band. Steely Dan is great,no shame in liking them. Are the Wondermints that band that Tom Hanks managed in That Thing You Do?

But their commercialism (even more than the 80's) of the last 3 albums, my wife's crazy fandom of it, and my kid brother's obsession with them, has dampened my enthusiasm. But ya, it's not a bad album either.

I forget the song, but it was a big hit & kinda a love song. Only Lonely maybe? The scene they shot was when Jon & the girl were on a bed & the background was brick & glass block.
