When I got older and wiser, I learned about that dandy DL contact number in the 714 area code and called it to get refurb info a few weeks before the trip. I don't recall ever changing plans because of a closure, but we got to be disappointed for a lot longer than just walking up to the ticket booths to find out a fave was on the list. ;-)
