PS - I'm in Disneyland this week, so late nights out mean a late morning post of the question. Sorry about that folks.

I do have some decent retirement building up, but the health care will always be an issue.

Wahoo, does you employer contribute up to a certain percentage. For me it's 2 to 1 up to 6%.

I may, out of boredom, work part time, but no more than that. I can fall back on the VA for my medical needs and I plan to do just that. It has been a long time coming and, frankly, I have a lot more past then I have future ahead so I plan on relaxing and only doing what I want to. Let's hope nothing alters those plans.

Like DAR, though, I've been contributing to a 401(k) for about 7 1/2 years now since I started at Dell. And, Dell matches up to the first 5% we contribute, so I contribute 5% right now. :)

I was hoping my DH could retire at 55 like our parents did. But right now it looks more like 60. Our IRA isn't that big.
We too hope to work p/t at Disneyland in retirement. Just find a place to park the motorhome.
