I'm still traumatized <<< The second one was pretty bad, but I also watched the third movie, because it was directed by J.J. Abrams. However I didn't like that movie either. I think I will give Ghost Protocol a try.

Several critics have mentioned that this is the best of the four films. I know that's not saying much, given the previous three, but it looks as though Brad's film has a decent shot at winning the box this weekend, with 93% 'want to see' from viewers. The film is going up against Sherlock Holmes 2, with 77% freshness and 97% 'want to see' ratings, so that's going to be some serious competition. But any way you slice it, it's going to be a great weekend for action flicks from two terrific directors.

I don't like the way Scientology-boy has taken a franchise that was originally an ensemble piece, all about the TEAM, and turned it into being all about Tommy Cruise. Having grown up on the tv show these just aren't "Mission:Impossible" to me. They're just another action/spy flick, something Hollywood makes more than enough of, IMO.
