For those that don't know, Kevin is now based in Orlando so all he has for comparison is the MK with its bird poop railings and execs who couldn't give a toos because another three plane loads of badly dressed fat English tourists just landed at MCO. Kevin does give the entrance and World Bazaar's "industrial"(his word)covering a real tongue lashing. Almost justifiable in my opinion. But then, at no MK style park I ever visited was Main Street the main draw for me anyway. His series concludes on Thursday with a look at TDS, which he said he went weak at the knees over. Can't wait!

At least they got everything right with Tokyo DisneySea, with the stunningly beautiful MiraCosta framing Mediterranean Harbor as the main entrance. The two parks provide a very nice contrast; Tokyo Disneyland provides the magic and whimsy, while Tokyo DisneySea provides the breathtaking theming and attention to detail.

While the budget for the park was clearly more than I would know what to do with, they saved some money on the Mira Costa facade facing into the park. The trompe loei (sp?) paintings fit the period well, but are less impressive than the stone work that the other side of the building has. This lets you have the huge, grand first impression, but later allows you to see the not-quite-as-nice (but still amazing, just clearly cheaper) back side of the hotel without ruining the first impression. Very well done, IMO, especially since most people exit through there after it's dark and you can't really see that anyway.

I think Kevin Yee was just trying to find one negative point to throw into the mix...funny thing is he had to make something up.

After rereading his article I think that I took him too literally. The best attractions created are inclusive to new born all the way to elder friendly--- stuff like American Adventure, Spaceship Earth, One Man's Dream, Pirates and Haunted Mansion Holiday; there are just too many to list. Now my personal favorites usually are more thrill related like Mummy and Spiderman(Universal), Journey To The Ceter Of Earth, IJ and Expedition Everest.

There was a cart in Port Discovery that also sold the gyoza, but I don't think it was ever as popular as the original one in Mysterious Island. If one has to take part in the fad of purchasing the "must have" snack, it just wouldn't do to buy it from a secondary location, don't you know? I think that other cart has since switched to some other offering. <<< We never waited in line for the gyoza in the caldera canyon but we did hit the Yucatan Sausage rolls in Lost River Delta 3 times--- is there a big difference? >>> I think that they are very different snacks, but who's to say which one is better - they're just different. One for whatever reason took on a life of its own as a fad.

OH GOD NO.....unless there is some extraordinary rationale one who does that should be summarily executed. Ok not killed, how about kicked out of the park and passes(even if they are multiday) confiscated without trial or hearing a la asset forfeiture by US officials.
