Some are too old and need to go. We have several young roosters who need to be butchered. And.........we should be getting a lot more eggs today. We have been losing many including a clutch that a hen was hatching. (I was so upset about that.) So last night we set the Have-a-heart. As soon as I went out this morning my nose told me we had been successful. Crazy skunks!!!!! Anyway, a conscientious hen will give you over 300 eggs a year. >>>>funny calling them bunnies when they are 'what's for dinner'<<<<< *Just give me a plate and a fork and a bunny.*
