It is very magical and 'Disney-like', but, ironically was used in a Universal Studios and Columbia Pictures produced version of the classic story first.

(And believe it or not, I actually liked Hoffman's portrayal of "Hook" in that film of the same name. I just felt that the film wasn't as good as it could have been. John Williams' score, however, is equally impressive for that film as well!)

Originally Posted By brotherdave I did like "Hook", but felt it fell short, especially with the Lost Boys and Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell. For some reason, those scenes just 'annoyed'(? Not sure if that's the right word) me. The kids were loud and obnoxious, while Roberts seemed wasted, at least in Neverland. Her scenes in the nursery, though, were funny. Robin Williams was good, Dustin Hoffman even better, but, overall, it just didn't hit a 'home run' for me.

So maybe that's why I'm so forgiving of all the faults. The only thing I hate is Dustin Hoffman's fake teeth. Uggh! They really bother me.
