I think USC vs. LSU would have been a great game. Putting my alma mater aside... I admit, in the SEC we have something that some other conferences do not have. If you look you will see that LSU played an extra game over many other teams. This is the SEC Championship game. In which LSU beat the brakes off of Tennesee, the team that UGA lost to early in the season. So all's fair, LSU desreved to be there I suppose. I have to agree that USC vs. LSU would have been a fantastic game. But alas, the BCS is what we have so we must abide by it I guess. I'd rather be #2 than #3. I should probably quit crying, take my kick ball and go home.

Somebody would always cry that they deserved to make the playoffs but didn't. Still, it would be more like college hoops, with some always upset they didn't get picked for the tournament, but at least #1 would be undisputed. On the other hand, it's kind of nice in a perverse way to have a major sport in which #1 CAN be disputed. You have fans in LA, GA, and CA who can all claim to have the "best team," with some justification.
