I wanted to start this topic so everyone can let everyone know about their small life events! I WANT TO HEAR 'EM!

I'll start: Not sure if many people know, but I am a Senior in high school this year (time sure does fly!) so I have been as involved as possible. Helped with Homecoming, Pep Rallies, various week events at school (Red Out for Heart Association, etc.) through my school's House of Representatives class (I'm VP of the House of Reps...'m not sure that is possible, but I'll take it!). Tomorrow, though, I start my role as water boy for the Varsity Cheerleaders! lol, it sounds weird at first, but I am best friends with all the girls on the team and have been wanting to help for eons, so being able to end the season with them, then help them with competition season is going to be a blast!

So there ya go, I want to hear your small life events! GO!

Sure enough I just received an email from my daughter asking about that Dept.56 collection of small houses to decorate for the holidays. Oh well. I guess I can go to see if I can buy them back tomorrow!
It never fails... Wish she had just asked for Grandma's old pumpkin bread recipe instead!

But, I have a lot to offer and plan to take what I know and do and possibly start a consulting business. Or just throw in the towel and retire. We'll see.

I take my "your older then dirt" regiment of pills, both for specific problems and assorted other things like Folic Acid and Fish Oil (not sure why, but I haven't had a squeaky joint since I started taking them). Also, I almost forgot the Vitamin D because apparently I don't absorb enough sunshine.

My feet hurt, my back aches, my knees are stiff, my golf game is in the toilet and my hair and muscle mass are leaving me faster then Brad Pitt dropped Jennifer Aniston. But, I'm still upright and taking nourishment, so I got that going for me. :)

I will be moving in with my boyfriend,(of 11 years). This was going to happen in a few months anyway, I just would have rather stayed in my apartment a little longer. This will be a big step. Hopefully a good one.

I had a big party for my 60th birthday in April. My whole family was here and lots of old friends came by. We had a bounce house and cotton candy and popcorn machines. I had eight grandchildren so a kids party seemed appropriate.
I now have 9 grandchildren as Blake joined us in July.

In May, Rod gave me the Mother's Day present of getting back to the gym. I can say that it has made a world of difference and makes me so mad that we got lazy and stopped.
I went to Yellowstone in June and my friend and I hiked to the top (and bottom) of many mountains and canyons. I did not even get sore.
The real test was this month's trip to Hawaii where we were able to not only climb Diamondhead, but after taking the easier route; we took the stairs just for fun=oD We were able to play in the shore breaks and snorkel for hours.
We still have our goats, chickens and rabbits. We bought our longed for motorhome and really want to travel so the farm will have to be downsized but just how and when we are still discussing.
We lost my dear mother in September. Though we miss her; it was not a very sad time. She had been in bed for over a year and had suffered too much and too long. Leaving her Earthly body was a blessing.

Best of luck seafairy and llanatoye. We are looking toward retirement next year ourselves.
I feel your pain Goofyernmost. I feel pretty good for my age; but there is quite a routine I have to go through every morning just to get the joints warmed up enough to get up and go.

Later, my friend Jessica drove me to her house and we just talked as she got her cheer uniform ready for the game, and I didn't feel entirely uncomfortable! WAHOO!
