In my humble opinion, CityWalk has not aged particularly well, and seemed like a tired shadow of its former self. Mostly souvenirs and other junk for sale -- noticed The Daily Grill was closing -- and it felt like the whole concept has sort of run its course.

At any rate, I walked around a bit -- headed to my meeting in Hollywood, and then drove out to my friend's home in Moorpark to spend the night there.

It wasn't until I was on my way home to Merced the following morning that I realized that my Day-Planner was missing.

    Ugh.

I called my friend in Moorpark, but then quickly realized that I had left it at CityWalk.

The good and rather amazing news is that I called CityWalk Guest Relations -- someone had turned it in, and they shipped it to my home free of charge.

As a former Walt Disney World Guest Relations host (and one who worked occasionally at the Lost & Found location at TTC), I was glad that it had been found.

    Thanks Universal CityWalk!

Hmmm...that's interesting to read 9oldmen. When I was there, the sign out front seemed to be more of a 'thanks for letting us be a part of your experience' rather than a 'look for our exciting new restaurant re-opening later this year!'

But then again, I lost my Day-Planner that day so perhaps I wasn't all 'there.'

<Hi Jim and thanks for your email. Unfortunately, our CityWalk location has closed for good. We were sad to see it go! The nearest locations would be Studio City or Burbank. Thanks for your interest and we will look forward to your next visit.>

    So there we go.
