If you have say 4 people in your party, I have heard you want to get them all at the same time from the same machine if you want to be together. Also, has anyone heard how long they will be doing 3 shows a day? I'm going to DL the 3rd week of July if that makes any difference.

Your group will all get the same section for the same show, but there are several different places to stand in each section (5 tiers for Red, Yellow and Blue, 3 sections for Orange). They have a whole army of cast members helping folks get their FPs, so everybody in your group will end up together. The queue forms, and at the front of the line is a CM making sure that all members of each group go to the same FP machine. At the machine, there is another CM who will scan all the tickets for you, to keep the line moving quickly. You do have to have your ticket scanned at the park entrance to get a FP, so you can't just send one person early in the morning with everybody's tickets while they stay back at the hotel. Unofficailly, I believe they will be doing 3 shows all summer long. The times guides will only have 2 shows listed, but if you ask cast members, they should be able to tell you if they will have a third show. Since it's the first season, I would expect 3 shows nightly until around Labor Day, unless it bombs horribly (and that just doesn't look like an option).

Originally Posted By FerretAfros >>Or is the green "section" just "everybody who isn't in one of the other sections?"<< The green section for the show is the boardwalk area near the center. It's not one of the FP areas, but they use it for the show. I think it's comprised of folks from Blue and Yellow, since both of those sections are pretty big to begin with. >>That darned song is ingrained in my mind!<< It struck me that they wrote a song, and then ran out of time to write the lyrics. "Something, something, something good" just doesn't have the memorable lyrics that most Disney songs have. : )

It seems too bad that they couldn't dedicate machines by the show you want rather than going in order. This would help both people that wanted to go later and give more spaces to people that don't want to or can't (due to small children say) have more availability for the earlier show. As a show sells out, then they could open the machines associated with it to the other shows.

I believe they go in some order. When I got my FP on Friday morning (around 7:45 by the time I got through the whole line), I was in the Yellow section. A friend of mine got there about an hour after I did, and got an Orange ticket. Thanks to a very helpful manager CM named Mary (not Ms Niven), we were able to end up in Orange together. I noticed that some of the other folks who had gotten there around the same time as my friend were also in the Orange section with us. Judging by the layout of the show, they probably go from 'best' to 'worst', though we were thrilled with our front-row seats without any chance of getting soaked. I believe that the first section given away is Blue, since that's what the first folks in the line seemed to have gotten, then Yellow. Presumably Red was in there before Orange. I'm not sure where Green works into the mix.
