Battery life is significantly better on the iPhone. The Razr is an LTE phone so you'll get faster speeds, provided you live in an LTE coverage area.

(I use LTE instead of 4G because "4G has just been rebranded by all the companies to mean an incremental speed upgrade; true LTE is a next-generation network.)

Just upgraded to the iPhone 4S, and while some of the gadgets are gimmicky, in my opinion, it's a great phone.

The negatives are no ice cream os at this time athough the downloadable upgrade is coming soon, camera may not be as sharp as iphone for indoor shots, some dont like the large screen alrhough others think the larger screem is ome of the bemefits, and you cant use it for cell phone or data when traveling overseas because Verizon runs on a service that offers the best conmectivity coverage in the USA but it is not available abroad.

It just depends on your personal preferemce as to which phone will meet your needs.
They both have voice command to help you to navigate the web and do other fumctions. Razr Maxx also has gorilla glass that is advertised as beimg more resistant to shattering, scratches, and water than iphome's glass encasing. But, I would put a protection case on both phones, like Otterbox Defemder for either phone or Griffen Surviver for the iphone.

for me the minimum data plan for iPhone was more than the minimum for "smartphone"
then i also paid alot less for the phone it self than i would have for the iPhone.
added bonus on android over apple.
you can add a larger MicroSD card to expand your memory with android, not so with apple.
