What neat things are there to do on a birthday? What are some things that are a must on a birthday? And where should we stay. I stayed at the GCH, loved it. Want to stay on property, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Somewhere you can go and tell them that its your birthday and they will give you a button that says your name and that its your birthday. All the CM that see you will tell you happy birthday and the characters in the parade notice you and will come and dance by you and say Hi. It is really neat.

In fact I had my parents with us, and the CM's were calling my boys by their names, and my mother turned to my and asked how did they all know my boys names. I had to remind her that they were written on the button.

And all the kids stayed awake for the entire show! It was a magical, wonderful day. One that we couldn't afford now, but it sure was nice at the time. He also got a sticker at City Hall so people were wishing him Happy Birthday all day! The biggest miracle is that it didn't rain in the evening and so Fantasmic wasn't cancelled. Phew!

I think you'll have a wonderful day just because you are at Disneyland! Oh, and don't forget to get your free pack of tortillas at the Mission Tortilla Factory in CA.

    Have a Happy Birthday!

The only thing different is that they now only sell very few things at the cart outside Plaza Inn.

The passport lady took a birthday sticker and asked his name, then filled one out for me to give hime. Very nice, but I suggest you go to City Hall, shorter lines and they won't look at you funny when you say that you aren't there to renew/buy a passport!

I know that you can get them from the Grand Californian bell desk if you're a guest there, but I don't know if you can get them if you're not a guest. We did that when we stayed there in July, though I was never asked if I was a hotel guest.

Or if you are staying at the Hotels you can email vacation planning or call them at 714-300-7526 and request a birthday button. They put your name on it and they will also put the age if you wish. The Hotels will also give balloons and signed photos of the characters if you request the. The photos are wonderful. For our son's 9th birthday we got balloons, photo's and stickers with trading cards. He loved it. Disney makes Birthday's so very magical.

We went to a character dinner at Goofy's Kitchen & they gave her more balloons!! We also had the Lilo & Stitch character breakfast & she was given a special pin, a Mickey shaped brownie with a candle & all the characters sang to her.
